Celebrating Women's Achievements & Teaching Consent

In recognition of both International Women's Day on March 8 -- which celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women -- and Women's History Month (March), Browning invited guest speakers to address students in all division levels. Justine Fonte (director of health & wellness at Dalton School) and Rebecca Mui (education manager at GLSEN), along with her colleague Jamey Jesperson (education associate at GLSEN), spoke about teaching consent and healthy relationships. During the course of the day, Browning's student leaders led discussions on these same topics, while faculty members conducted "teach-ins" to further such discussions while also incorporating the achievements of women into their regular curriculum for the day.
